Che Guevera. Hazel Da Breo is a Canadian Psychotherapist in private practice. In the last three years, she has travelled and worked extensively in the Latin American and Caribbean Region, with Grenada as home base. Along with her private practice, she currently works in the following positions: - Clinical Supervisor, Psychological Services, Legal Aid and Counseling Clinic. - Consulting Psychotherapist, Action for Children (formerly NCH). - Guest Lecturer, St. George's University. - Lecturer, Fanshawe College (Ontario). - Faculty, SomaSoul Dynamics School for Shamanic Psychotherapy. - Consultant, UNIFEM, Partnerships for Peace. - Researcher, University of Huddersfield (UK)/UNIFEM, Child Sexual Abuse project. -Altogether, Hazel's practice covers the realms of Eco-Psychology, Disaster Counseling, Couples Counseling, Anxieties and Existential Crises. However, her main area of focus, research and work is with both victims and perpetrators of Child Sexual Abuse. Over more than 30 years of raising a family, and studying and practising the art of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in Toronto, she also had established careers in Art History and Journalism. She further worked as a social activist in education and the arts and sang jazz in a trio for a few lovely years. Her studies in Zen Buddhist Meditation took her to Thailand where she interned with the forest monks of Chiang Mai in the mountains of North-Western Thailand. Hazel has taught Meditation to individuals and groups for many years. She also completed the first year of a two-year yoga teacher training program at the Ester Myers studio, before taking up work in the Caribbean. She served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy from 2006-2008. The Sweet Water Foundation In 2008, Hazel founded the Sweet Water Foundation. It is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development and dissemination of treatments (and trainings in treatments) for victims of Chld Sexual Abuse. Currently training for her 3rd Degree Black Belt, she now runs the Da Breo Institute in Grenada.
