Offered through the Shamanic Psychotherapy School,

Toronto, Canada.

Course Director: Hazel Da Breo, PhD

This Introductory Reading course is 4 months in duration. The course work comprises:

-      The reading of a minimum of 4 texts.

·         The completion of 4 sets of study-guide questions, one set per text.

·         4 reviews/essays, of 2-6 pages each, simply describing what the material meant to you, as a person, as a client, or as a student of psychotherapy.  These reviews/essays are due at the end of each text reading, that is, approximately once monthly.

MEDITATIONS AND BODY WORK

THE INTEGRATION WORKSHOPS

Incorporating instructors from the Young Su Choung Olympic Taekwondo Academy, this 1/2 day workshop introduces a more vigourous martial arts component.

Learning the basics of Self-Defense along with the principles of Zen meditation and their philosophical parallels provides a holistic, enlivening experience of body-mind integration.

SEMINARS, KEYNOTES AND FACILITATIONS: THE CHANGE WORKSHOPS

These facilitations are based in the teachings of the I Ching, the Martial Arts, Zen Buddhist meditation and Psychotherapy. Tailored to the needs of athletes, artists, corporate groups and the coaching community, this approach goes beyond an itinerant "day-at-the-spa" relaxation. Rather, the focus is on individual change which is both subtle and concrete; it is a forward-looking practice in fine-tuning the relationship between your intentions and your actions. While putting the mind at ease, Zen practice uncovers your authentic power and offers practical lessons for living.

"The instructors ability to put people at ease, clear communication and demonstration of points, and willingness to respond to questions with patience and appreciation of the participants right to ask those questions, made this class a joy. I didnt want to leave the room when it was over. A perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon."
